What To Do If I Cannot Afford Rent

For our company, I always recommend a tenant contact us as soon as possible if they project that they will not be able to pay rent. Early communication helps us as the management company reassure the owner of the rental property that the tenant is working on a plan to get current. At this time, the tenant and I would work to set up a payment arrangement to get current on the outstanding balance (for example: Rent is $500 due on the 1st: Tenant can pay $400 on the 1st and will pay remainder with their next pay check on the 10th).
